Fausto Andres Bustos Carrillo

(Former Bio) Hailing from the warm weather of Tijuana, Baja California and San Diego, Fausto has been interested in tropical infectious diseases for over a decade. His current work applying current biostatistical methods to better understand the epidemiological and spatial spread of dengue virus, chikungunya virus, and Zika virus. Fausto also consults with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on foodborne illnesses (particularly campylobacteriosis) in the US. While at CCDD, Fausto researched influenza transmission pathways at the animal-human interface.
