This Workshop exists to increase diversity in the fields of public health and mathematical modeling.
Applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-baccalaureate program at a U.S. college, university or institution of post-secondary education*
- Be studying a quantitative discipline and/or public health at their home institution (as identified by declared major or minor, or through relevant coursework)
- Have a demonstrated interest in public health and/or infectious disease epidemiology
- Be 18 years old by the date of the workshop (March 3-4, 2025)
*We may consider your application if you have recently graduated, but are not enrolled in a graduate program during the 2024-2025 academic year. Please email us at ccdd@hsph.harvard.edu for more information before applying.
The workshop is intended for the following underrepresented groups:
- First-generation college students (neither parent nor legal guardian has a bachelor’s degree)
- Low-income students (annual family income below established low-income thresholds, based on family size)
- Disabled students (according to the definition of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973)
Eligibility is not restricted on the basis of race, ethnicity or national origin, and race, ethnicity and national origin are not considered in the selection process.
