“Massachusetts lawmakers charged with overseeing the state’s response to the coronavirus emergency will switch gears next week to learn about COVID-19 variants infiltrating the state, according to an agenda released this week. ‘We really want to understand the variants that we’re seeing circulating in Massachusetts — which ones are here, what they done around country and the world thus far, and what kind of impacts we should expect or be ready for,’ said Rep. William Driscoll, D-Milton.” (Boston Herald).

Dr. Hanage will be joined by Dr. Nahid Bhadelia, an infectious disease physician and the medical director of the Special Pathogens Unit at Boston Medical Center.
