Lerato Magosi

Research Associate
Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics (CCDD)

(Former Bio) Lerato is a statistical geneticist with research interests in infectious disease dynamics and cardiovascular genetics. She received her PhD from Oxford University in Cardiovascular Medicine where she developed statistical methods to dissect heterogeneity in genetic association meta-analyses. At CCDD Lerato’s work will center on developing and applying statistical and computational methods to investigate HIV transmission dynamics using large-scale pathogen genomic data in order to evaluate the impact of combination prevention strategies in lowering HIV incidence in Sub-Saharan Africa.
