(Former Bio) Tori Cowger completed a doctorate at the CCDD in Population Health Sciences concentrating in infectious disease epidemiology. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota and an MPH in epidemiology at Emory University. After graduation, she worked as an epidemiologist at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) working on global tuberculosis (TB) research and prevention efforts. Her research interests include health disparities and social determinants of infectious diseases, vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations, geospatial methods, and global public health practice.
