(Former Bio) Virgie is currently a Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) Epidemiologist at the Virginia Department of Health. Before starting her current position, she completed the CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellowship at the Arkansas Department of Health, where she focused on HAI and other infectious disease projects. She earned a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with a concentration in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University.
